Craig Hubbard is a photographer, filmmaker, and creative director whose work has been shaped by a decade in New York and a decade in Marina del Rey, California.
For ten years, Craig lived and worked in New York, building a career as an Art Director and Creative Director. During that time, he collaborated with globally recognized brands and organizations including Marvel, the International Emmy Awards, Red Bull, MTV, Miramax, Nickelodeon, Anheuser-Busch, AT&T, and many others. Working across broadcast, advertising, motion design, and branded storytelling instilled a disciplined approach to visual communication and an appreciation for thoughtful composition, restraint, and purposeful design.
A move to Marina del Rey marked a new chapter. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and Southern California’s coastline, Craig returned to photography with renewed purpose. The ocean became both subject and teacher, inspiring a body of work defined by light, atmosphere, movement, and a strong sense of place.
Craig’s creative journey began in animation and comic books, contributing color work for Marvel and DC Comics while working on productions including Aqua Teen Hunger Force for Adult Swim. That multidisciplinary foundation continues to influence his approach to photography and filmmaking.
His photography has been exhibited internationally and featured in juried exhibitions and publications. Whether standing waist-deep in the Pacific waiting for the perfect swell or documenting fleeting moments along the California coast, Craig creates images that invite viewers to slow down, observe, and reconnect with the natural world. His work reflects a belief that the most powerful photographs are often the quietest—revealing beauty through patience, simplicity, and a deep sense of place.
